  多年生草本,高5-12 (-18) 厘米,被卷曲的短柔毛。根粗壮,直径2-4毫米。茎疏丛生,直立或上升,基部常木质化,由下部分枝。叶片线形或线状倒披针形,长(7-)10-20 (-25)毫米,宽1-2.5毫米,顶端急尖,基部渐狭,几无柄,边缘下半部被柔毛,两面均无毛,下面具1条凸起的中脉,叶腋生不育短枝。聚伞花序着生少数花,顶生,稀单花腋生;苞片草质,披针形,长约4毫米,宽约1.2毫米,顶端急尖,边缘膜质,无毛;花梗稍长于花萼,最长可达1厘米,上部被疏柔毛;萼片5,长圆状披针形,长约5毫米,宽1-1.5毫米,顶端急尖,边缘膜质,基部被疏柔毛,中脉凸起;花瓣白色,长为萼片的1/3-1/2,2深裂达近基部,裂片线形;雄蕊10,长为萼片的1/2,花药扁圆形,黄色。蒴果倒卵形,长约为宿存萼的1/2,具2种子;种子椭圆状倒卵形,直径1-1.5毫米,近黑色,表面具钝疣状凸起。花期6-7月,果期7-8月。
  产吉林、内蒙古、河北、山西。生于砾石质草坡、草原或疏林下。在河北、山西,分布于海拔2 790-3 400米。俄罗斯(西伯利亚)、蒙古也有。
  St. viridiflora Pax. et Hoffm. 的模式产于小五台北台,海拔3 050米的石灰岩上 (Limpricht 2517, 2562) 。

Herbs perennial, pubescent with curved hairs. Stems tufted, erect or ascending, 5--12(--18) cm tall, base usually woody, basally branched; short axillary sterile branches present. Leaves subsessile, linear or linear-oblanceolate, (0.7--)1--2(--2.5) cm × 1--2.5 mm, both surfaces glabrous, lower margin pubescent, base narrowed, apex acute. Flowers few, in terminal cymes; bracts lanceolate, ca. 4 × 1.2 mm, herbaceous, glabrous, margin membranous, apex acute. Pedicel slightly longer than sepals, ca. 1 cm, distally sparsely pubescent. Sepals 5, oblong-lanceolate, ca. 5 × 1--1.5 mm, midvein raised, base sparsely pubescent, margin membranous, apex acute. Petals 5, 1/3--1/2 as long as sepals, 2-cleft nearly to base; lobes linear. Stamens 10, ca. 1/2 as long as petals; anthers yellow, compressed globose. Capsule obovoid, ca. 1/2 as long as persistent sepals. Seeds 2, nearly black, ellipsoid-obovoid, 1--1.5 mm in diam., tuberculate. Fl. Jun--Jul, fr. Jul--Aug.
